She did not hesitate to move to Cape Town and after her unwilling nature to give up her dreams, she is now with Cape Town City Ballet for over a year as a full time paid member living her dream as a ballerina. In February 2015 Robin van Wyk was hosting a summer school in Pietermaritzburg that she had attended which resulted in her being asked to join the 2015 Cape Town City Ballet Graduate Programme. She then decided in January 2015 to get back into her dancing by doing her RAD Advanced. Her dreams were not over, she still maintained focused on her passion for dance. She said,“I stopped dancing altogether.” This resulted in her having to look for work as a receptionist.
To her amazement, she had been chosen for the Graduate Programme, from there she danced with Joburg Ballet for six months but unfortunately her journey had to end due to medical issues which ultimately resulted in her moving back to her home town, Howick.
She did not stop there, auditions were being held for Joburg Ballet in October 2013 where only five dancers would be selected from the group for the 2014 Graduate Programme. She started ballet dancing at the age of 3 at Heather Proctor School of Dance and carried on persistently to achieve all her RAD exams up until Advanced 1 with distinctions.
